FARMCREST FOODS LTD. based in Salmon Arm, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Poultry preparer. FARMCREST FOODS LTD. is a unique family business operating a hatchery, feed mill and processing facility to ensure our products’ quality and safety. We grow a large portion of our feed ingredients such as, wheat, corn, soya bean, and canola on our farm in Salmon Arm. Our responsibility to our customers includes traceability of ingredients. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Job Description:

Position: Poultry preparer
No of Vacancies: 6
Salary: $22.00 hourly for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent employment
Location: 1880 30th Street SW, Salmon Arm, BC, V1E 3J9
Shifts: Day, Evening and Morning
Work setting: Poultry processing plant
Work site environment: Candidates should work in odours, hot and cold/refrigerated place

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided

Physical Requirements:

The candidate should be able to perform repetitive tasks, pay attention to detail, handle heavy loads, manually dexter and also for bending, crouching, kneeling
The candidate should be physically strong and also a combination of sitting, standing, walking
The candidate should have hand-eye co-ordination

Other Requirements:

The candidate should be a team player and also have accuracy
The candidate should have experience of product inspection like poultry

Responsibilities:

The candidate should be able to slaughter livestock and remove viscera and other inedible parts from carcasses, cut meat and poultry into specific cuts for institutional, commercial or other wholesale use and also cut poultry into parts
The candidate should be able to remove feathers and singe and wash poultry to prepare for further processing or packaging and also remove bones from meat
