Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the French and English Language
Education: Candidates should have a minimum of a Certificate in SST
Experience: Candidates should have 3 years of experience in OHS management and prevention
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should enjoy challenges, possess strong attention to detail, and be able to work under pressure
- The candidate should demonstrate attention to detail, interpersonal skills, diligence, resourcefulness, and team spirit, a developed sense of planning and organization of their work
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should possess with relevant experience, otherwise a BAC in industrial relations or industrial engineering
- The candidate should have excellent knowledge of OHS legislation, regulations, and standards, relevant environmental training
- The candidate should have relevant experience in managing files related to the environment and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- The candidate should be a good communicator with patience and self-control, with an ability to listen to employees
The candidate should have excellent spoken and written French and English (to support regular interactions with corporate clients outside Quebec)
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to carry out the necessary follow-ups of action plans, monthly inspections, or any other ongoing health and safety at work files, participate in and write observation reports and document good safety practices in occupational health and safety (OHS), participate in accident/incident investigations and analysis
- The candidates should be able to prepare, lead, and carry out the necessary follow-ups for the smooth running of the OHS committee, provide training in lockout and the operation of mobile and fixed equipment
- The candidates should be able to deliver lockout padlocks to employees and maintain the list up to date, monitor inventories of personal protective equipment (PPE) and lockout equipment, and manage their supply
- The candidates should be able to receive lockout and inspection records for fixed and mobile equipment, review them, and take the required actions in the event of deviations
- The candidates should be able to prepare, provide, and/or coordinate the occupational health and safety training necessary for the performance of employees’ daily tasks, including reception, lockout, driving rolling stock, WHMIS, confined spaces, working at height
- The candidates should be able to schedule staff retraining sessions and register employees on the training platforms used by the company
- The candidates should be able to ensure the annual certification of devices, machinery, tools, and materials used in OHS, provide quality service to internal and external customers
