Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or Intermediate or a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to shape and strengthen the CityNews brand as a Producer
- The candidates should be able to lead within the news operation, evolving the way stories are produced and told to better engage and build audiences
- The candidates should be able to oversee the creation of ground-breaking original and breaking news content on streaming channels, daily news programs, and digital platforms
- The candidates should be able to handle various producing responsibilities, including lining up newscasts, vetting news content, coordinating event coverage, and overseeing the 24/7 livestream channel
- The candidates should be able to work some evening and weekend shifts
- The candidates should be able to develop and grow in several different roles in our newsroom
- The candidates should be able to collaborate with the assignment desk, reporters, production team, and CityNews national producers to determine story coverage plans at the start of the day
- The candidates should be able to keep the newscast and livestream channel on track, monitoring items for length and troubleshooting any technical issues on the fly, while also vetting scripts and watching for breaking news
- The candidates should be able to help ensure that stories adhere to the Rogers News Policy and follow the principles laid out in the Inclusive Content Guide, with final editorial sign-off before a story is published
