Salary: $15.30 hourly for 4 to 37.5 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Winnipeg, MB
Shifts: Day, Weekend, On Call, Morning
Work setting: Fruit and vegetable processing plant, and Food and beverage plant
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in hot environments, cold or refrigerated environments, and wet or damp conditions
- The candidates should be capable of performing repetitive tasks and possess manual dexterity for various tasks
- The candidates should have good hand-eye coordination and be able to stand for extended periods
- The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail in their work and be able to perform bending, crouching, and kneeling as required
- The candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to work effectively under pressure
- The candidates should be capable of handling weights of up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should prioritize client focus and possess efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should exhibit flexibility in their approach to tasks and be reliable in fulfilling their duties
- The candidates should be team players, capable of collaborating effectively with others
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate food safety/handling skills and transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials
- The candidates should be able to provide customer service and manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers
- The candidates should be able to feed and unload processing machines, check products and packaging for basic quality defects, and assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties
- The candidates should be able to clean machines and immediate work areas
