Work setting: Food and beverage plant, Meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, however experience is an asset
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to handle repetitive tasks and should possess hand-eye coordination
- The candidate should be capable of standing for extended periods and should demonstrate attention to detail
- The candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment
- The candidate should be able to handle heavy loads
- The candidate should work in hot environments
- The candidate should work in cold or refrigerated environments
- The candidate should uplift weight up to to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to demonstrate food safety and handling skills effectively
- The candidate should be able to transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials safely and efficiently
- The candidate should be able to measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines accurately
- The candidate should be able to feed flattened boxes into forming machines to construct containers smoothly
- The candidate should be able to remove filled containers from conveyors promptly
- The candidate should be able to manually pack goods into bags, boxes, or other containers with precision
- The candidate should be able to feed and unload processing machines smoothly
- The candidate should be able to check products and packaging for basic quality defects attentively
- The candidate should be able to assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties proficiently
- The candidate should be able to clean machines and immediate work areas thoroughly
