Shift: 18 days of the fair, On-Site
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have previous customer service or camp leader experience
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be highly efficient and organized and ability to coordinate 20+ staff and stand and walk for extended periods of time
- The candidates should be comfortable working in outdoor environments, including sun, wind, rain, and humidity, and must be able to move efficiently
- The candidates should be available to work all 18 days of the fair (August 16th – September 2nd, 2024), including evenings and weekends
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be reliable and enthusiastic, possess public speaking skills, demonstrate problem-solving skills, friendly disposition and exhibit good judgment
- The candidates should be able to work with minimal supervision, advanced customer service skills
- The candidates should have excellent communication and conflict mediation skills and adhere to the required uniform dress code
- The candidates should be available to assist in setting up the fair if needed (August 9th – August 16th, 2024) and attend mandatory orientation session(s)
- The candidates should have advanced problem-solving skills and customer service interaction abilities and valid G2 or G license
- The candidates should possess event coordination skills, strong communication skills, demonstrate teamwork and self-motivation skills and exhibit adaptability
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to facilitate the staff rotation schedule effectively and ensure staff arrive promptly at their stations and take scheduled breaks
- The candidates should be able to share relevant information with staff, including weather conditions, program changes and notable exhibits
- The candidates should be able to be the point of contact for any issues that arise in Kids’ World, such as lost children, customer complaints, programs on schedule, and customer assistance
- The candidates should be able to provide enthusiastic and informative information to guests about exhibits and assist stage performers and program providers
- The candidates should be able to answer questions from guests regarding exhibits, programming, attractions, facilities, and services
- The candidates should be able to ensure that program areas in Kids’ World are properly maintained, on schedule, and presentable at all times
- The candidates should be able to assist in maintaining a cleaning schedule for Kids’ World and assist with opening and closing procedures for Kids’ World
- The candidates should be able to comfortable working and interacting with crowds, children of all ages, and in a variety of weather conditions
