Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of Degree in computer science
Experience: Candidates should have four years’ progressively responsible experience in Information Technology
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to provide training, advice, and guidance to staff
- The candidates should be able to install, upgrade, and maintain network equipment and network support tools
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have successfully completed a two-year, a CCNA certification, post-secondary computer technology course, coupled with six years of progressively responsible experience in network technology
- The candidates should hold a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver’s Licence and provide a current driver’s abstract from SGI demonstrating a safe driving record
- The candidates should have considerable knowledge and skill in network technologies, protocols, architecture, network support, maintenance tools, Cisco management tools, project management tools and techniques and the ability to participate in all project roles
- The candidates should have a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- The candidates should exhibit effective oral and written communication skills, including preparing and conducting presentations
- The candidates should demonstrate customer service skills, including the ability to deal effectively and tactfully with internal and external stakeholders
- The candidates should demonstrate skill in critical thinking and problem-solving
- The candidates should provide an acceptable current Criminal Record Check (CRC) upon offer of employment
- The candidates should be able to maintain current knowledge of IT trends, procedures, and standards
- The candidates should have knowledge about articles according to corporate standards
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to prepare proposals and recommendations for management action
- The candidates should be able to support and implement network-based systems within the Corporation
- The candidates should be able to prepare and modify system and operating documentation, network diagram
- The candidates should be able to respond to and resolve system and production failures
- The candidates should be able to perform project roles as assigned
- The candidates should be able to assist with the development of Corporate IT policies, procedures, and standards
