Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completed a PSW Program or HCA/CCA certification that meets the appropriate standards
Experience: Candidates should have experience in Long Term Care or working independently in community home care setting with exposure to dementia and palliative care and experience in care planning systems and documentation
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should provide care in accordance with applicable legislation, job routines, nursing care plans
- The candidates provide physical assistance to residents, including lifting and transferring individuals with varying mobility levels
- The candidates should perform tasks that may involve bending, reaching, and assisting with personal care activities
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should communicate positively with other staff, residents/patients, and families and have the ability to read and write English while understanding verbal and written instructions in English
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to provide direct personal support and care to patients to fulfill the physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of patients in accordance with policies, procedures, and work routines
- The candidates should be able to assist in providing direct care such as ambulation, feeding, bathing, and grooming
