Requirements:

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to assist in the implementation and compliance of Lafarge Safety Program to ensure personnel are working in a safe manner in accordance with policies and procedures
  • The candidates should be able to ensure all aspects of his/her role are executed in a safe manner
  • The candidates should be able to obey safety guidelines when on construction sites and Lafarge operations
  • The candidates should be able to establish the environment as a priority in daily activities and act as a steward to the environment
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate a commitment to meet or exceed environmental compliance
  • The candidates should be able to ensure good customer relations
  • The candidates should be able to communicate effectively with customers
  • The candidates should be able to provide customer support in resolving quality concerns and problems in the field working with the QC Manager
  • The candidates should be able to perform and document quality control tests in accordance with established local or national standards (CSA, ACI, ASTM)
  • The candidates should be able to conduct quality control tests without direct supervision and within the precision standards established by CSA, ASTM, and ACI
  • The candidates should be able to maintain documentation of all testing conducted at the plant and on site
  • The candidates should be able to interpret test results and recommend changes if needed
  • The candidates should be able to maintain communication with the appropriate Lafarge batcher on the measurement of air entrainment in concrete obtained in the field and required dosage changes
  • The candidates should be able to direct testing at the jobsite for slump, air, and making of concrete cylinders, in addition to lab testing such as compressive strength and aggregate sieve analysis
  • The candidates should be able to be responsible for ongoing maintenance, calibration, and documentation of testing equipment
  • The candidates should be able to ensure quality materials through the active testing of raw materials
  • The candidates should be able to sample raw materials for validation at the lab and conduct mix adjustments (at the plant or in the field) using admixtures as required
  • The candidates should be able to pass ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade 1 and CCIL Concrete Testing Technician
  • The candidates should be able to work closely with the plant personnel (batcher, loader operator, and drivers)
  • The candidates should be able to have a Safety Performance objective of “Zero”
  • The candidates should be able to be responsible to achieve targeted KPIs i.e., safety, service, volume delivered, and customer satisfaction
  • The candidates should be able to have 0 direct reports and 0% travel outside the market area
