Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a university degree in Engineering, with eligibility for a P.Eng. designation
Experience: Candidates should have minimum 2-year College Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology – eligibility for C.Tech. or C.E.T. Designation
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess a full G-class Driver’s License
- The candidates should have availability for all shift work, including upwards of 12-hour shifts
- The candidates should have experience in the construction materials industry, specifically with aggregates, asphalt, and concrete
- The candidates should possess excellent communication and computer skills
- The candidates must demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to effectively manage Product Quality Control and Quality Processes to ensure product performance, product cost management, effective reserve utilization, and customer satisfaction
- The candidates should be able to work closely with Production Staff, Distribution Staff, and Sales Territory Manager
- The candidates should be able to implement Lafarge Safety Policies and comply with Government Legislation
- The candidates should be able to conduct Safety Induction of Visitors to Quality Lab or site as required
- The candidates should be able to execute Job Hazard Analyses for QC Tasks and implement Action Items
- The candidates should be able to execute and implement Lab/QC Safety Improvement Plans
- The candidates should be able to implement programs and processes to ensure compliance of all products with relevant Codes, Standards, and Specifications
- The candidates should be able to implement Lafarge Quality Program, including sampling, testing, reporting, and follow-up for all products as determined for each site of responsibility
- The candidates should be able to record, monitor, and communicate Aggregate KPI performance with key stakeholders as required, investigate variances from Plan, and establish corrective actions as required
- The candidates should be able to participate in or lead the development and implementation of site-specific actions to reduce and/or utilize long products, including innovating new combination materials
- The candidates should be able to provide input to ensure alignment between Sales and Operational staff to ensure product performance meets customer expectations
- The candidates should be able to participate in the development and implementation of site-specific product performance knowledge for Operations staff
- The candidates should be able to participate in Quality Audits, including the development and implementation of Action Plans for Quality Improvement
- The candidates should be able to ensure efficient utilization of resources provided and optimize costs where practical and possible
