Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the Nunavut are Inuktut, English and French Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of graduates from a Prior Learning, Education, and Assessment Programme (PLEA)
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of two years of post registration experience
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have knowledge, skills, and abilities typically obtained through a Midwifery Diploma from Nunavut Arctic College and registration with the Nunavut Midwifery Registration Committee, or registration with a Canadian College of Midwives or a recognized midwifery body, along with the Nunavut Midwifery Registration Committee
- The candidates should be an equivalent in a province or territory with existing midwifery legislation and be registerable with a Canadian College of Midwives and the Nunavut Midwifery Registration Committee
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to serve as the primary health care provider, fully responsible for the provision of health services within the profession’s scope of practice using an evidence-based approach
- The candidates should be able to credentialed practitioners and members of the professional staff
- The candidates should be able to fully integrated into the accountability structures based on legislation, regulations, accreditation guidelines, and policies or procedures
Benefits:
- The candidates will get northern Allowance $9.50 – $22.25 per hour, depending on the community
- The candidates will get tiered Allowance = $10/hour (depending on community, peak periods)
- The candidates will get continuous Service Allowance = $2.31 per hour
