Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of an accredited nursing education program
Experience: Candidates should have Case Management experience

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
  • The candidates should be holders of current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
  • The candidates should be trained in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention
  • The candidates should have completed Supportive Pathways training
  • The candidates should have successfully completed AHS Wound I and II courses
  • The candidates should possess Rai 2.0 Certification

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to provide leadership, including direction, supervision, mentoring, constructive feedback, and client care coordination to other professionals and unregulated staff
  • The candidates should be able to, in this case management role, have the ability to use critical thinking skills to plan, assess, implement, and evaluate client-centered care
  • The candidates should be able to provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being
  • The candidates should be able to, in their role, utilize nursing processes through critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making, as well as teach, counsel, and advocate on behalf of patients and their families
  • The candidates should be able to play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance
  • The candidates should be able to provide safe, quality patient and family-centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS
