Supervision: 11-15 people

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as bachelor’s degree
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Credentials: Licensure as a Registered Nurse by provincial or territorial authorities, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Adult Abuse Registry check, Criminal record check, Immunization records
Area of specialization: 
Geriatrics

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and be physically demanding
  • The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to work in tight deadlines
  • The candidates should be able to sit, stand, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
  • The candidates should be able to do manual dexterity

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be accurate, client focus, organized, initiative, flexible, reliable, and judgmental
  • The candidates should have excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions
  • The candidates should be able to collaborate to plan, implement, co-ordinate and evaluate patient care, supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff
  • The candidates should be able to conduct disease screening, deliver immunization programs, provide nursing care
  • The candidates should be able to deliver health education programs, operate or monitor medical apparatus or equipment
  • The candidates should be able to dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician
  • The candidates should be able to monitor, assess, address, document and report symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions
  • The candidates should be able to provide consultative services regarding issues relevant to nursing profession and nursing practice
