Registered nurse (R.N.)

Chancellor Park based in St. John’s, NL is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Registered nurse (R.N.). Chancellor Park is a retirement and long-term care facility dedicated to providing a supportive and comfortable environment for seniors. We offer a range of services, including independent living, assisted living, and memory care, to cater to the diverse needs of residents. The candidates selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Salary: $37.67 to $44.63 hourly (To be negotiated) for 60 to 75 hours bi-weekly
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: St. John’s, NL
Shifts: Evening, Night, Weekend, Morning

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate, Licensure as a Registered Nurse by provincial or territorial authorities
Security and safety: Adult Abuse Registry check, Criminal record check, Immunization records, Tuberculosis test

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should thrive in a fast-paced environment, have strong manual dexterity, be prepared for physically demanding work, and be able to stand for extended periods

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be accurate in their work, have a strong client focus, possess excellent oral communication skills, show initiative, exercise good judgment, demonstrate reliability, and excel as team players

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions, collaborate to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care, and deliver health education and immunization programs
  • The candidates should be able to dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitor, assess, address, document, and report symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions, and operate or monitor medical apparatus or equipment
  • The candidates should be able to provide consultative services regarding nursing issues, provide nursing care, and supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff
