Salary: $43.10 to $45.10 hourly (To be negotiated) for 75 hours bi-weekly
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Charlottetown, PE
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Shift, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Nursing home/home for the aged, and Long-term care
Supervision: 11-15 people
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and Licensure as a Registered Nurse by provincial or territorial authorities
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Immunization records, Tuberculosis test, and Vulnerable sector check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail in their work and be prepared to handle a large workload
- The candidates should be able to perform bending, crouching, and kneeling as needed, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should be capable of handling physically demanding tasks, able to stand for extended periods, and work effectively under pressure
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should prioritize accuracy and client focus in their work, possess efficient interpersonal skills, and exhibit excellent oral and written communication
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in their approach to tasks, show initiative in problem-solving, and exercise good judgment in decision-making
- The candidates should maintain an organized approach to their work, be reliable in fulfilling their duties, and be team players capable of collaborating effectively with others
- The candidates should exhibit strong time management skills
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to monitor patients and advise physicians of any changes in patients’ condition, assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions, and collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and their families
- The candidates should be able to dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician, provide nursing care, and supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff
