Salary: $32.22 hourly for 30 to 37.5 hours per week

Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, To be determined, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Nursing home/home for the aged
Supervision: 16-20 people
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Bachelor’s degree
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: CPR Certificate, Eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse by the province/territory of work, First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Adult Abuse Registry check, Child Abuse Registry check, Criminal record check, and Tuberculosis test
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have attention to detail
- The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling
- The candidates should be able to handle a large workload and work under tight deadlines
- The candidates should possess manual dexterity and be physically capable of handling a physically demanding job
- The candidates should be prepared for overtime when required and be able to work under pressure
- The candidates should be comfortable sitting or standing for extended periods as necessary
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to address and document symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions, assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions, and provide nursing care
- The candidates should be able to collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, co-ordinate, and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and their families
- The candidates should be able to conduct disease screening, deliver health education programs, and deliver immunization programs
- The candidates should be able to dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician, manage home care cases, and supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff
- The candidates should be able to operate or monitor medical apparatus or equipment
