Shifts: Day, Weekend, Evening, Night, Shift, Flexible Hours, To be determined, Early Morning and Morning
Work Setting: Children’s camp, government department and/or agency, home care and visiting care agency, hospital or home for the aged, hospital/medical facility or clinic, industrial facility or establishment, nursing home/home for the aged, physician’s office, private clinic, private residence, public or community health centre, school or educational institution/establishment and youth drop-in centre
Security and Safety: Adult abuse registry, basic security clearance, bondable, criminal record check, eligible for professional liability insurance, enhanced reliability security clearance, immunization records and tuberculosis test
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of more than one language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates need experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Certificates, Licences, Memberships, and Courses: Candidates should have Certified foot care nurse, Intravenous (IV) therapy Certification, Mental health first aid Certificate, Non-acute care infection control professional (NAC ICP) training, Tracheostomy care training, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certificate, Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate, CPR Certificate, Certified Nurse in Critical Care – Canada (CNCC-C), Eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse by the province/territory of work, First Aid Certificate and Licensure as a Registered Nurse by provincial or territorial authorities

Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions
- The candidate should be able to collaborate to plan, implement, co-ordinate and evaluate patient care
- The candidate should be able to conduct disease screening
- The candidate should be able to deliver health education programs
- The candidate should be able to deliver immunization programs
- The candidate should be able to dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician
- The candidate should be able to engage in research activities related to nursing
- The candidate should be able to manage home care cases
- The candidate should be able to operate or monitor medical apparatus or equipment
- The candidate should be able to participate in community needs assessment and program development
- The candidate should be able to provide consultative services regarding issues relevant to nursing profession and nursing practice
- The candidate should be able to provide nursing care
- The candidate should be able to provide supportive counselling and life skills programming
- The candidate should be able to supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff
- The candidate should be able to monitor, assess, address, document and report symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions
