Amica Dundas based in Dundas, ON is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Registered practical nurse (R.P.N.). Amica Dundas is tucked into a neighbourhood with an inviting combination of established homes and the lovely green spaces and walking trails of the Rotary Creekside Parkette directly beside us. Shifts: Night, Weekend, Shift, To be determined
Work setting: Nursing home/home for the aged

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as bachelor’s degree
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 years to less than 5 years
Area of specialization: 
Geriatrics
Credentials: Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination, Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work
Security and safety: Immunization records, Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position.
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to administer medication and observe and document therapeutic effects
  • The candidates should be able to provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures
  • The candidates should be able to monitor patients’ progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and consult with appropriate members of healthcare team
