Salary: $33.00 to $40.00 hourly (to be negotiated) 8 to 44 hours per week

Location: Timmins, ON
Shifts
: Evening, Night, Morning
Transportation information: Own transportation, Willing to travel, Travel expenses paid by employer
Work setting: Hospital/medical facility or clinic, Hospital or home for the aged, Health care institution, facility or clinic

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Credentials: Acute care nursing Certificate, Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination, CPR Certificate, Licensure as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse by provincial authorities, First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Bondable, Criminal record check, Immunization records, Tuberculosis test

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk for extended periods

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be accurate, client focus, dependable, organized, initiative, flexible, reliable, and judgmental, and be able to work as a team player
  • The candidate should have excellent oral communication, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent written communication, and be able to work as a team player

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to take vital signs, apply aseptic techniques including sterile dressing, ensure infection control, monitor nutritional intake and conduct specimen collection
  • The candidates should be able to monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy
  • The candidates should be able to monitor patients’ progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and consult with appropriate members of healthcare team
