Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be 16 years or older

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have Pharmacist License (secondary optional permit in Alberta, CA-APA or Additional Prescribing Authorization)

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to ensure an excellent patient experience and locate merchandise on the sales floor
  • The candidates should be able to establish and develop a strong working relationship with Professional Services District Managers and other stakeholders
  • The candidates should be able to accept prescriptions and/or refill requests from Customers, Doctors, or Hospitals
  • The candidates should be able to fill all prescriptions accurately, efficiently, and safely using the established workflow models
  • The candidates should be able to counsel all patients on sold pharmaceutical products, ensure the proper storage of pharmaceutical products, execute processes as per OBWs/SOPs and operate all equipment in the pharmacy, including the register and computer system
  • The candidates should be able to protect and maintain patient privacy at all times, following provincial regulations established by the regulatory body
  • The candidates should be able to ensure patients receive all eligible services they are entitled to, such as medication reviews and injections, to meet specific patient needs
  • The candidates should be able to follow OBW regulations as per the Relief Pharmacist program
  • The candidates should be able to travel to various locations and follow the schedules set by the Relief program coordinator
  • The candidates should be able to develop and establish collaborative relationships with other health care providers within the store, including clinics, Vision Centre, and their community
