Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Experience: Candidates should have 2+ year(s) of work experience in an industry, university, or government lab

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should currently have, or be in the process of obtaining, a PhD degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. The degree must be completed prior to joining Meta
  • The candidates should have experience with programming languages such as Python, C++, or similar
  • The candidates should have a proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, or publications at leading workshops, journals, or conferences in Machine Learning (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR), Robotics (ICRA, IROS, RSS, CoRL), or Computer Vision (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV)
  • The candidates should have experience with machine learning models and frameworks such as PyTorch, and TensorFlow
  • The candidates should have experience with representation learning, self-supervised learning, transfer learning, robotic manipulation, tactile sensing
  • The candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • The candidates should demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to conduct research and develop state-of-the-art AI approaches for dexterous robot manipulation that leverages rich sensing capabilities on robot hands
  • The candidates should be able to design and conduct experiments, analyze data, and document the findings in the form of technical reports and publications
  • The candidates should be able to collaborate with the broader team of researchers on the project and influence project direction based on their area of expertise and experimental findings
  • The candidates should be able to write high-quality, readable code that can be used and built upon by team members and the research community when open-sourced
