Shifts: Shift, 03:30 to 11:00
Work setting: Restaurant
Supervision: 5-10 people
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: Food and Beverage Server Training
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout their workday
- The candidates should be capable of standing for extended periods as required by the duties and be physically fit to handle demanding tasks
- The candidates should be proficient in walking as part of their job duties and be able to work effectively under pressure
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should prioritize client needs and satisfaction, possess efficient interpersonal skills for effective communication and collaboration, and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication abilities
- The candidates should exhibit flexibility in their approach to tasks and schedules, show initiative in taking on tasks and solving problems proactively, and maintain organization in their work habits
- The candidates should be team players, capable of collaborating effectively with colleagues to achieve common goals
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to advise on wine selection and serve wine, balance and deposit cash, and hire and dismiss staff
- The candidates should be able to schedule staff, train and supervise staff, and liaise between chefs and customers
- The candidates should be able to order and receive liquor and other supplies and maintain inventories, inspect dining rooms and other food and beverage serving areas, and deposit cash and maintain daily log books
- The candidates should be able to maintain financial records, address customers’ complaints or concerns, and answer customers’ questions regarding menu items and preparation methods
- The candidates should be able to assist clients/guests with special needs, attend to seating arrangements for large groups, and greet customers
- The candidates should be able to perform opening and closing activities, provide general information on community services, receive customers’ reservations and assign tables, and receive payments from customer
