Bulk Barn Foods Limited based in Port Elgin, ON is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Retail store supervisor. Bulk Barn Foods Limited is a Canadian bulk foods store founded in September 1982 by Carl O’Field. We sells common to somewhat specialty foods, such as those that are vegan and non genetically modified. We are experienced and well-known to the community. We participated in fundraising for Alzheimer’s Canada. We are known to provide satisfaction to our customers, that they don’t have to go to any one else after getting the best services from us. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Early Morning and Morning
Work setting: Urban area, retail business and on-site customer service
Transportation/travel information: Own transportation required
Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates need experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Computer and technology knowledge: Candidates must have knowledge of MS Excel, Electronic cash register, Point of sale system and Interac machine
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in fast-paced environment, maintain tight deadlines, handle heavy loads, pay attention to detail, walk and also stand for extended periods
- The candidate should be a combination of sitting, standing, walking
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work with being focused on the client, in a flexible environment and also in an organized way
- The candidate should be reliable and also a team player
- The candidate should have accuracy, efficient interpersonal skills and also an excellent oral communication
- The candidate should have working experience of cleaning
- The candidate should be able to supervise 3-4 people, cashiers, grocery clerks and shelf stockers and also retail salespersons and sales clerks
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to assign sales workers to duties, supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers, train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, train, direct and motivate staff, train and supervise staff, supervise staff and also communicate with other workers to co-ordinate the preparation and completion of work assignments
- The candidate should be able to order merchandise, authorize return of merchandise, sell merchandise and also prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters
- The candidate should be able to establish work schedules, organize and maintain inventory, resolve problems that arise, such as customer complaints and supply shortages, stock shelves and display areas, ensure health and safety regulations are followed, prepare reports, food safety/handling skills, suggestive selling, greet customers and also leading/instructing individuals
- The candidate should be able to accept cash payments, operate cash register, balance and deposit cash, balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms and also handle cash transactions
- The candidate should be able to sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, clean work area and also sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
