The Prince George Hotel based in Halifax, NS is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the Room attendant. The Prince George Hotel is a luxury accommodation destination known for its exceptional hospitality and sophisticated amenities. Ideally situated in a prime location, the hotel offers upscale rooms and suites designed for comfort and style. The candidates selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible. The position of Room attendant is approved by LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment)

Shifts: Day, Weekend, On Call, Morning


Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need any degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be adaptable to a fast-paced environment and capable of meeting tight deadlines
  • The candidates should be willing to handle repetitive tasks and be physically capable of performing demanding tasks
  • The candidates should possess a high level of attention to detail, be comfortable standing for extended periods, and be able to perform tasks involving bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • The candidates should be able to walk for extended periods and be capable of lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a strong focus on client satisfaction and be dependable in completing assigned tasks
  • The candidates should exhibit flexibility in adapting to various work requirements and be reliable in completing assigned tasks
  • The candidates should be team players, fostering collaboration within the organization, and uphold values and ethics in their professional conduct
  • The candidates should be organized in managing tasks and responsibilities and prioritize punctuality and timely attendance

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position


  • The candidates should be able to sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, and vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture
  • The candidates should be able to make beds, change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, and stock the linen closet
  • The candidates should be able to clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances and handle and report lost and found items
  • The candidates should be able to attend to guests’ requests for extra supplies or other items, provide basic information on facilities, and pick up debris and empty trash containers
  • The candidates should be able to wash windows, walls, and ceilings and address customers’ complaints or concerns
