Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English and French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience in making deliveries

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lb/22.7 kg, demonstrating physical capability for the tasks involved

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have experience in operating a motor vehicle in all kinds of weather and traffic conditions, showcasing adaptability and safety awareness
  • The candidate should have a satisfactory safe driving record
  • They should possess a valid permanent provincial driver’s license
  • The candidate’s Vehicle should have a minimum cargo capacity of 100 cu ft (2832 liters)
  • The candidate’s Vehicle should have an automatic transmission
  • The candidate’s Vehicle should possess power windows
  • The candidate’s Vehicle have a metal roof-top and accessory power outlet to accommodate a Canada Post sign and flashing light
  • The candidate’s Vehicle should have a fifth door/hatchback is preferred to allow for oversized and bulky items to be loaded
  • The candidate should be required to provide and maintain the required automobile liability insurance for the use of their vehicle
  • The candidates should have to notify their insurance company as to the use of their vehicle while employed at Canada Post
  • The candidates should have a satisfactory safe driving record is required
  • The candidates should Possess of a valid permanent provincial driver’s license is necessary

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to project a positive and courteous manner when dealing with customers face-to-face
  • The candidates should be able to be adept at sorting, collecting, and delivering mail items in a safe and timely manner
  • The candidates should be able to acquire and maintain knowledge of local infrastructure, including roads, customers, and delivery receptacles
  • The candidates should be able to ensure that mail is safely secured in their possession
  • The candidates should be able to process various CPC products and services, such as Change of Address Notification, Damaged Mail, and Items Delivered Bill (IDB), with accuracy and adherence to established procedures
  • The candidates should be able to wear Canada Post identification prominently while on delivery, ensuring its visibility when delivering and collecting mail from customers
