The Brick based in Terrace, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Sales associate – retail. The Brick started in 1971 as a single furniture store in downtown Edmonton, Alberta. We serve Canadians from Victoria to St. John’s and operate over 209 locations and seven distribution centres. We are proud to have maintained the charitable and customer-first attitude we had when we first opened 50 years ago. Our company is a family of subsidiaries, including MidNorthern Appliance, a commercial and residential appliance supplier, and First Oceans, which sources furniture and other products for our business. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Early Morning and Morning
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to conduct sales transactions through Internet-based electronic commerce, estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties and delivery dates and also prepare sales, rental or leasing contracts and accept cash, cheque, credit card or automatic debit payment
- The candidate should be able to operate computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems, greet customers and discuss type, quality and quantity of merchandise or services sought for purchase, rental or lease and also maintain sales records for inventory control
- The candidate should be able to provide advice about merchandise, assist in display of merchandise and also prepare merchandise for purchase, rental or lease
