Work setting: Metal products manufacturing company, Heavy machinery manufacturing, Industrial facility or establishment
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working in dusty environments and able to work in noisy conditions
- The candidates should be prepared for repetitive tasks as part of their duties and be able to handle heavy loads as required
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing circumstances
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from surfaces of metal products, and immerse metal products in cleaning solutions
- The candidates should be able to assist structural steel and plate work fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators, or other metal workers, and sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials
- The candidates should be able to clean machines and immediate work areas, and polish metal products to a mirror finish
