Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have 3-5 years’ underground experience
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be capable of reading mine plans/drawings
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have accreditation in U/G (Underground) common core modules and specialty modules
- The candidates should demonstrate a strong safety focus
- The candidates should possess self-motivated ability to work alone
- The candidates should exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently
- The candidates should have previous experience as a bolter
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to install ground support in accordance with company standards to ensure the safety and stability of underground workings
- The candidates should be able to install and maintain services, including ventilation, electrical, and water systems, to support mining operations effectively
- The candidates should be able to load development rounds with explosives as required for underground blasting activities
- The candidates should be able to prepare development faces for the Jumbo operator by ensuring proper ground conditions and support
- The candidates should be able to meet daily productivity goals set for the job, demonstrating efficiency and effectiveness in underground development work
- The candidates should be able to perform preoperational inspections on equipment to verify safety and functionality before operation
- The candidates should be able to operate equipment efficiently and safely, following established procedures and protocols
