Salary: $18.00 hourly for 35 to 40 hours per week

Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Early Morning, Morning

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be adept at handling repetitive tasks, maintaining precision and accuracy throughout, and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail in their work
  • The candidates should be physically fit to manage demanding tasks and be comfortable standing for extended periods as part of their job responsibilities

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills, facilitating effective communication and collaboration within the team, and be reliable, consistently delivering high-quality work and meeting expectations
  • The candidates should be team players, contributing positively to group dynamics and working collaboratively towards common goals

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to cut, clean, and trim fish or seafood prior to marketing or further processing, scraping away scales, separating fillets, and removing scrap parts using a knife
  • The candidates should be able to check fish fillets for optimal number and size, cut sections according to specifications, and place them in a container for weighing
  • The candidates should be able to check products and packaging for defects, ensure conformance to company standards, and perform corrective machine adjustments as required, recording production information
  • The candidates should be able to set up and operate machines to can, bag, box, or otherwise package fish and seafood products and to clean, cut, cook, smoke, brine, dehydrate, or otherwise process fish or seafood products
