Calgary Exhibition and Stampede is started from its earliest days as a fair in 1884, to the first Stampede in 1912, all the way to present day. We are a not-for-profit community organization that preserves and celebrates our western heritage, cultures and community spirit. Supported by over 2,500 passionate volunteers, our year-round events, programs and initiatives invest in youth, support agricultural programs, celebrate western culture and make a lasting economic impact in our city. Salary: $16.00 to $20.00 hourly for 1 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Part time, Casual employment
Location: Calgary, AB
Work setting: Public event and recreational or cultural centre
Security and safety: Criminal record should checked
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates need experience of 1 year to less than 2 years
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Candidates must have Security Guard License
Computer and technology knowledge: Candidates must have knowledge of MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint and MS Word
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work under pressure, pay attention to detail, stand for extended periods and also walk
- The candidate should be a combination of sitting, standing, walking
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be someone who can judge, reliable and also a team player
- The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills and also an excellent oral communication
- The candidate should have experience of corporate building security, retail loss prevention and also security systems/alarms consulting (residential)
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to assist clients/guests with special needs and also check age identification of patrons
- The candidate should be able to produce reports, enforce regulations to maintain order and resolve conflicts and to monitor establishment activities, patrol assigned areas and also perform security checks of passengers and luggage
