Windmill Road Ultramar based in Dartmouth, NS is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Self-serve gas bar cashier. Windmill Road Ultramar provides car wash services and wide range of automotive and industrial lubricants includes various synthetic products that are energy efficient and biodegradable. Shifts: Night, 23:00 to 07:00
Work setting: Gas bar, Confectionery/corner store, Retail business
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Computer and technology knowledge: Electronic cash register, Interact machine, Price scanner
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be accurate, flexible, should have excellent oral communication, and be able to work as a team player
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate cash register, process money, cheques and credit/debit card payments
- The candidates should be able to scan items, receive payment for goods or services
- The candidates should be able to calculate daily/shift payments received and reconcile with total sales and do suggestive selling
- The candidates should be able to stock shelves and clean counter area, greet customers
- The candidates should be able to provide customer service, verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol or tobacco products
