Requirements:

Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a Master’s Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related field, and 3+ years of related experience statistics, predictive analytics and research
- The candidates should have a Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related field, and 1+ year(s) of related experience statistics, predictive analytics and research
- The candidates should have 1+ year(s) of experience with machine learning and natural language processing
- The candidates should be able to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, which include passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter
- The candidates should have experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning tasks such as Named Entity Recognition, Entity Tagging, data mining, cleaning and measurement
- The candidates should have experience with programming in Python or C#, modern machine learning frameworks, and high-performance computing systems
- The candidates should have a proven track record of developing and applying NLP or Machine Learning models that power web services or are run on production data
- The candidates should have experience with or knowledge of NLP Privacy research, Multilingual NLP, Multimodal Models, and Image Understanding optical character recognition, image manipulation, image infill, and other image transformation operations
- The candidates should have experience with using and improving result quality from Large Language Models and Healthcare NLP, Medical NLP, Healthcare data, and privacy requirements and considerations for healthcare data
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to have a passion for research and push the boundaries of what’s possible, with an eye towards understanding our healthcare partners’ problems and solving them
- The candidates should be able to work alongside experts in NLP, machine learning, healthcare, image processing, and other fields to translate state-of-the-art research knowledge into working products to solve customer and product
- The candidates should be able to develop and improve machine learning models, datasets, metrics, training techniques, and model architectures
- The candidates should be able to write high and performant code that is appropriate for production services
- The candidates should be able to define and grow applied research at the intersection of AI, Healthcare, and Privacy
- The candidates should be able to actively engage in collaborative relationships with groups inside or outside of Microsoft
- The candidates should be able to understand and follow ethics and privacy policies when executing research processes and collecting data or information
