Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have prior experience supporting Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Compliance platforms
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should scale systems sustainably through automation and advocate for changes that improve system reliability and delivery velocity
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have experience working as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) within the financial industry, including FICC, Global Equities, Risk, and Prime, an in-depth understanding of investment banking platform architecture, including microservices, APIs, and cloud-native designs
- The candidates should possess expertise in designing scalable, high-availability systems that support real-time payments and large transaction volumes, experience integrating modern platforms with legacy systems mainframes) and external partners SWIFT, ACH, Fedwire
- The candidates should have experience with platform engineering, including cloud-native architectures, microservices, and messaging services such as Kafka and MQ, experience supporting applications hosted on mainframe systems
- The candidates should have deep hands-on experience developing high-performing, mission-critical production systems and automating business-as-usual (BAU) tasks to reduce toil and improve efficiency
- The candidates should be able to define strategies for Application Performance Monitoring, unit cost analysis, and chaos engineering practices, understand and apply MTTR (Mean Time to Recovery), SLO (Service Level Objective), and SLI (Service Level Indicator) concepts to services
- The candidates should aim to reduce toil while responding to incidents and continuously improve platforms by building reliable, fault-tolerant, efficiently scalable, and cost-effective data services, microservices, and infrastructure, maintain live services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health using observability tools like Dynatrace, Splunk, and Datadog
- The candidates should be able to transform and modernize application management services (AMS) using DevSecOps, AIOps, SRE, and production engineering tooling, capabilities, and best practices
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to drive the vision and strategy for Production Engineering and ensure alignment with all key stakeholders
- The candidate should be able to collaborate with Change the Bank, Production Engineering, and Infrastructure teams to develop innovative, modern, and resilient technology solutions
- The candidate should be able to facilitate seamless integration and operational efficiency between Change the Bank and Run the Bank teams
- The candidate should be able to provide deep technical expertise in Investment Banking and Capital Markets platforms, mentoring team members through complex technical challenges
- The candidate should be able to leverage hands-on production support experience with both distributed and mainframe applications to troubleshoot and enhance platform stability
