Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management or Political Science
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum 3 years of experience in northern governments or other relevant work

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should provide a satisfactory criminal record check

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should clearly identify their eligibility to receive priority consideration under the Affirmative Action Policy
  • The candidates should have equivalent combinations of education and experience

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to support team initiatives within the Division, Department, the Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT), and external partnerships
  • The candidates should be able to identify issues and work on policy development, as well as have experience in interpreting legislation/regulation/policy/self-government agreements
  • The candidates should be able to assist in any bespoke program-related issues that arise from time to time

Benefits:

  • The candidates will get an annual Northern Allowance of $3,700
