Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have honors degree from a University, ideally with a focus in both computer science and project management
Experience: Candidates should have seven years of related experience in project management, preferably in the technology industry

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have excellent knowledge of MS Project, Visio, and spreadsheet software such as Excel and Word, as well as enterprise information systems
  • The candidates should be familiar with systems development methodologies and change management processes
  • The candidates should possess excellent knowledge of project management methodologies and highly developed analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • The candidates should have highly developed leadership and team-building skills, along with interpersonal, communication, presentation, and consultation skills
  • The candidates should demonstrate excellent client service and conflict resolution skills to establish effective liaison and rapport with University staff at all levels
  • The candidates should be highly motivated self-starters with proven ability to work without supervision and should have experience with process workflow modeling tools
  • The candidates should have experience with packaged software implementation for large systems and the design and implementation of custom-developed systems and Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, including core Banner/FAST modules, and understanding of University core business processes
  • The candidates should have practical experience in budget development and administration, as well as project resource management within a matrix environment
  • The candidates should possess a high energy and engagement level, ability to work in a team environment, exceptional organization skills, and the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • The candidates should possess Highly effective interpersonal skills are required to build and maintain effective relationships with professional colleagues, system users, faculty members, and administrators and have Strong leadership and team-building skills are necessary to effectively coordinate and lead in the achievement of project objectives while providing excellent client service

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to conduct multiple larger scoped projects concurrently and manage stakeholder expectations and interests across various areas of the University
  • The candidates should be able to lead strategic and transformational projects of medium to large scale in complexity, time, and budget
  • The candidates should be able to develop and manage all project work throughout the project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closeout
  • The candidates should be able to be accountable for ensuring identified project objectives are delivered on time and within budget and coordinating project management work in an organizational matrix structure
  • The candidates should be able to identify stakeholders and facilitate their engagement
  • The candidates should be able to provide professional project management leadership and contribute to the development of project management standards, processes, and tools within the PMO
  • The candidates should be able to ensure that University systems are developed, designed, and implemented efficiently and cost-effectively
  • The candidates should be able to define user requirements for Enterprise Systems (Student Services, HR, Finance, Alumni, and Faculty Administration), analyze alternative system solutions, propose and/or review system design, and manage system implementation
  • The candidates should be able to design, develop, and implement improved business processes and system enhancements and application development
  • The candidates should be able to be responsible for functional process improvement, development, redesign, and renewal, as well as ensuring user training
