Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, On Call, Flexible Hours, Morning
Transportation information: Own transportation
Work setting: Restaurant, rural area, relocation costs not covered by employer

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Computer and technology knowledge: Point of sale system

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should thrive in a fast-paced environment, be comfortable standing for extended periods, and be capable of working effectively under pressure
  • The candidates should have the ability to handle weights up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should prioritize client focus and possess efficient interpersonal skills, excel in oral communication, and display flexibility
  • The candidates should demonstrate initiative, be organized in their approach, and exhibit reliability, while being effective team players

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to ensure they are of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages and enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
  • The candidates should be able to address customers’ complaints or concerns and provide customer service
  • The candidates should be able to prepare and serve specialty food at customers’ tables, describe menu items including daily specials for customers, and advise on menu selections
  • The candidates should be able to present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques, or room billings, clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, and greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages
  • The candidates should be able to serve food and beverages, take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff, describe and advise on wine selection, and assist clients/guests with special needs
