Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Computer and technology knowledge: Point of sale system
Credentials: Safe Food Handling certificate
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure and handle weights up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a strong client focus and possess efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication skills and be flexible
- The candidates should demonstrate initiative and be organized
- The candidates should be reliable and a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to prepare and serve specialty food at customers’ tables, describe menu items including daily specials, and advise on menu selections
- The candidates should be able to greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations, answer questions regarding food and beverages, and serve food and beverages
- The candidates should be able to take orders and relay them to kitchen and bar staff, describe and advise on wine selection, and enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
- The candidates should be able to present bills to customers, accept various forms of payment, and assist clients/guests with special needs
- The candidates should be able to clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, and provide customer service
