Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Computer and technology knowledge: Aloha Point of Sale (POS)
Own tools/equipment: Uniform
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and be physically demanding
- The candidates should be able to stand, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be client focus, organized, flexible, and reliable
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to verify that they are of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages
- The candidates should be able to address customers’ complaints or concerns
- The candidates should be able to present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit, or debit cards, travelers’ cheques, or room billings
- The candidates should be able to describe menu items, including daily specials, for customers, enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
- The candidates should be able to advise on menu selections, balance cash and record sales, and clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs
- The candidates should be able to greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages
- The candidates should be able to serve food and beverages, take orders and relay them to kitchen and bar staff, and provide customer service
