Reux Cafe and Bar based in Surrey, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Server – food and beverage services. Reux Cafe and Bar offer a carefully curated selection of wines, beers, and spirits to complement your meal and elevate your dining experience. Work setting: Willing to relocate, Bistro, Cafeteria, Restaurant, Urban area
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should be able to stand, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to work in noisy area
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be client focus, organized, initiative, flexible, and reliable
- The candidates should have efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizen and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position.
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to prepare and serve specialty food at customers’ tables
- The candidates should be able to present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques or room billings
- The candidates should be able to describe menu items including daily specials for customers
- The candidates should be able to greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding food and beverages
- The candidates should be able to order and maintain inventory of wines and wine glassware
- The candidates should be able to perform sensory evaluation of wines, take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff
- The candidates should be able to serve food and beverages, assist clients/guests with special needs
