Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED
Experience: Candidates should possess relevant training and experience

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should assist in other areas of the Lab
  • The candidates should be meticulous, detail-oriented, conscientious, and able to concentrate in a fast-paced environment
  • The candidates should have a concern for quality and possess problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to count goods in receiving units and verify counts against the freight bill
  • The candidates should be able to transport boxes to the receiving inspection area using a cart or pallet jack, open cartons, and place contents on a worktable
  • The candidates should be able to scan products with a hand-held computer/scanning gun to verify UPC and item information and label merchandise with the correct item number and barcode (checking supplier tickets as needed)
  • The candidates should be able to count and check merchandise from boxes, including style, size, color, quality, and Printex information, and write the count and item number on each box
  • The candidates should be able to key received goods into the computer system (AS400)
  • The candidates should be able to print pallet tags and label boxes, stack boxes, and place them on steel shelves
  • The candidates should be able to make orders for contact lenses, frames, and sunglasses using a handheld scanner for each warehouse and place merchandise with the appropriate license
  • The candidates should be able to print manifests and licenses and assemble them for shipping to various locations
  • The candidates should be able to use the shrink-wrap machine
  • The candidates should be able to count and separate glasses cases
  • The candidates should be able to match item numbers to barcodes in the AS400 system and set frames to print Printex information on lenses
