Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: Air Brakes Endorsement, First Aid Certificate, and Driver’s Licence (Class 2 or B or C)

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have 20/20 vision
  • The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • The candidates should possess hand-eye coordination

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should exhibit flexibility
  • The candidates should exercise good judgment
  • The candidates should demonstrate reliability

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to operate buses, school buses, or streetcars to transport passengers and report delays, mechanical problems, and accidents
  • The candidates should be able to direct passengers during emergency evacuation procedures, complete logbooks and reports, and ensure children’s safety when boarding and leaving buses and crossing the street while the bus is stopped
  • The candidates should be able to perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
