Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have good hand-eye coordination and be able to sit comfortably for extended periods
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate buses, school buses, or streetcars to transport passengers and provide sightseeing information
- The candidates should be able to provide passengers with information on fares, schedules, and stops, and collect fares and record transactions
- The candidates should be able to report delays, mechanical problems, and accidents, and communicate with passengers, dispatchers, or other drivers using two-way radio systems
- The candidates should be able to perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
