Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completed Grade 10 education
Experience: Candidates should have minimum of seven (7) months Operator experience required

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess a valid Ontario unrestricted G class driver’s licence (or provincial equivalent) with no more than 6 demerit points accumulated
  • The candidates should possess a valid Ontario unrestricted DZ class driver’s licence (or provincial equivalent) with no more than 6 demerit points accumulated is considered an asset
  • The candidates should have a working knowledge of applicable occupational health and safety legislation
  • The candidates should have a general knowledge of corporate/departmental policies and procedures related to health and safety
  • The candidates should have completion of a defensive driving course
  • The candidates should possess a valid Ontario unrestricted G class driver’s license (or provincial equivalent) with no more than 6 demerit points accumulated
  • The candidates should have proficiency in English oral, reading, and writing

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to contribute to the management and maintenance of urban and rural transportation networks, including various tasks such as snow and ice control, snow removal, and asphalt and concrete repairs
  • The candidates should be able to operate Sidewalk Plow equipment as part of the Road Services units’ responsibilities
