Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles)
Security and safety: Criminal record check and Driving record check (abstract)

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads
  • The candidates should have attention to detail

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate flexibility, demonstrate good judgment
  • The candidates should be organized and demonstrate reliability
  • The candidates should be a team player
  • The candidates should take initiative, should have excellent oral communication, and be dependable

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products
  • The candidates should be able to receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • The candidates should be able to load and unload goods, use maps and other trip planning aids
  • The candidates should be able to record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems
  • The candidates should be able to perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
  • The candidates should be able to keep a record of items received and delivered and ensure health and safety regulations are followed
