Salary: $41,600 to $52,000 annually (To be negotiated) for 20 to 50 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Part time leading to full time
Location: Hamilton, ON
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, On Call, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Landscape contractor, Landscape maintenance and On-site customer service

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Area of work experience: Snow removal
Architectural specialization: Commercial
Equipment and machinery experience: Pick-up truck, small engine equipment, tractor, tractor mower, and weed trimmer/edger
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Security and safety: Driver’s validity licence check and Driving record check (abstract)

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be willing to work outdoors as part of their responsibilities
  • The candidates should be able to work in hot environments when necessary
  • The candidates should be able to work in cold or refrigerated environments

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate punctuality, consistently arriving on time for work and commitments
  • The candidates should be hardworking, consistently putting forth dedicated effort in their tasks and responsibilities

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to weed, prune, and trim trees and plants, cut grass, and rake and collect refuse
  • The candidates should be able to remove litter and garbage, cart and spread topsoil and other materials, and lay sod or seed
  • The candidates should be able to plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees, repair and maintain equipment, and write daily basic progress reports
  • The candidates should be able to water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, and operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment
