Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have Completion of bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW)
Experience: Candidates should have Minimum 1-2 years’ experience working as an RSW in renal acute care/ambulatory multidisciplinary

Other Requirements:
- The candidates should hold a working knowledge of the health care system and community resources and strong professional judgment, initiative, and effective time management skills
- The candidates should have a current Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) certification and Master’s Degree is an asset
- The candidates should utilize strong judgment by analyzing facts, considering the impact, and arriving at a sound conclusion, seeking counsel when appropriate
- The candidates should have proven communication skills to work cooperatively and effectively with the health care team members, patients, and their families in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should have experience working with inpatients and ambulatory patients with chronic disease
- The candidates should have proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- The candidates should be familiar with Netcare, Connect Care, and/or principles of electronic documentation
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to provide a range of social work services to patients and their families
- The candidates should be able to perform psychosocial assessments, resource-based interventions, individual, group, and family treatment, risk screening, counseling, case management and coordination, transition or discharge planning, and prevention, promotion, and public awareness activities
