Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have 3+ years of engineering team management experience
  • The candidates should have 7+ years of experience working directly within engineering teams
  • The candidates should possess 3+ years of experience in designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
  • The candidates should have 8+ years of experience leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services
  • The candidates should have knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and live site operations
  • The candidates should have experience partnering with product or program management teams and should also have experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to be responsible for building and operating new services that will be core to realizing our vision of leveraging science and automation to generate a continuous flow of talent into and across Amazon
  • The candidates should be able to work as part of the Job Creator team, which is responsible for building Amazon recruiting systems, such as Amazon.jobs and Amazon’s internal recruiting system used by recruiters and interviewers
  • The candidates should be able to create systems that allow hiring managers and recruiters to create jobs to be posted to Amazon.jobs and other 3rd party career sites to attract the best talent, and to create requisitions to initiate the recruiting workflow until the job is filled or closed
  • The candidates should be able to build software systems that handle the full lifecycle of job management and integrate with multiple distributed recruiting services associated with requisitions
  • The candidates should be able to own their organization’s product vision and roadmap
  • The candidates should be able to drive architectural design choices, invent new features, develop distributed services, and build a scalable and adaptable platform
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate a high level of ownership and insist on the highest standards of quality, maintainability, performance, availability, and customer service
  • The candidates should be able to bring deep technical and management expertise, strong business acumen and judgment, the ability to define visionary products, and the desire to have an industry-wide impact
