Colchester County based in Kemptown, NS is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Sorter – recyclable materials. Salary: $19.15 hourly for 24 to 40 hours per week

Work setting: Packaging company and Warehouse

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be comfortable working in dusty environments and adaptable to a noisy, fast-paced environment
  • The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks efficiently and have experience in handling heavy loads
  • The candidates should be physically fit to meet the demands of the job, possess manual dexterity for intricate tasks, and exhibit a strong attention to detail
  • The candidates should have excellent hand-eye coordination, be capable of standing for extended periods, and able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the plant manually or using powered equipment
  • The candidates should be able to sort, pack, crate, and package materials and products, as well as assist machine operators, assemblers, and other workers
  • The candidates should be able to perform other laboring and elemental activities and clean machines and immediate work areas
