Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have at least 2 years of both culinary and leadership experience

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate the ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods in a kitchen environment
  • The candidates should be capable of lifting and carrying kitchen supplies and equipment
  • The candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced culinary setting

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a Culinary Arts Diploma and a valid Red Seal Certificate
  • The candidates should possess a valid Food Handler’s Certificate
  • The candidates should have experience in large quantity food preparation
  • The candidates should be able to read and follow detailed recipes/instructions as required
  • The candidates should be able to provide a clear criminal record check
  • The candidates should have a passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care


  • The candidates should be able to plan and prepare meals according to established standards, procedures, recipes, and menus
  • The candidates should be capable of ordering, receiving, storing, and rotating inventory of all required food and supplies
  • The candidates should maintain safety and sanitation in the kitchen to meet legislative and organizational standards
  • The candidates should have the ability to communicate regularly with clients to ensure satisfaction with food service
  • The candidates should be able to supervise and mentor cooks to ensure performance meets standards
