Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years’
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be physically demanding
- The candidates should be able to stand, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizen and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position.
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles or other masonry units
- The candidates should be able to lay bricks, stone or similar materials to provide veneer facing
- The candidates should be able to read sketches and blueprints to calculate materials required
- The candidates should be able to cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools
- The candidates should be able to lay bricks or other masonry units to build residential or commercial chimneys and fireplaces
- The candidates should be able to lay or install firebricks to line industrial chimneys and smokestacks
